Kaye pens a sensual contemporary romance with his "Maine Man." On an island in rural Maine, this is a novel that readers breathless as turn the page.
The novel begins with Jon learns that his mother go to Maine once a year on a deserted island to meet her lover. HisMother has recently died, and his sister, Sarah, asks him to drive to Maine, to break the news to his mother's lover. It is convenient, because Jon is the activity at the nearby Bain Iceland with the mayor.
Victor Powell, the Mayor of Bain Iceland asks her daughter, Maddie, on Rose Island, where she met her lover. It can not go because under the care of his ex-wife, who is in a wheelchair. Maddie reluctantly agrees.
Jon and Maddie on the ferry over to meet. We arrive at the shelter, butnot two and two together, because they are there. Instead, a heavy storm traps them inside the hut and the two shares personal secrets. Jon and Maddie tries to leave the hut, but the storm forced them back to the shelter. Unable its flammable mixtures with more spark, they share a night of passion. The next morning we split up after promising to meet in a year.
Jon goes to meet Victor and Bain island. Meet Maddie and also created a "Bain".Jon is working this week and involved in a passionate affair with Maddie to be. Will the secrets that Jon and Maddie families from the couple to keep them to disperse, or win the love? Only time will tell.
Kaye writing is easy to read and immediately engage the reader secrets kept by the family of Jon and Maddie. Their dialogue is realistic and the plot is tight.
Kaye descriptions are perfect pitch. It uses the five senses to paint a vivid and parablesMaine landscape.
His characters are wonderfully complex. This is a story with substance. Jon is obsessed with the alcoholic father and wants something more from his life. Maddie is able to make an emotional connection with her mother. Surprisingly, both Jon and Maddie, the emotional attachment between them.
"Your Maine Man" is a sophisticated romance. Kaye love scenes between Jon and Maddie are warm and passionate, the detection of a strong link betweenCharacters. "Your Maine Man" is a novel that I could not down.
