This was the first Julia Quinn book I've read and I loved it! I really enjoy her writing style. If you are a stickler for true-to-period dialogue and description, you may be disappointed, but I found it to be fun and funny and highly entertaining. I don't mind a few modern words and thoughts in my historical romance stories. Especially in this book, it is part of what makes it such a good read.

The story of Daphne Bridgerton and Simon Basset is truly wonderful. The whole, hugh, boisterous Bridgerton family is so delightful. I love the interaction between the siblings. Daphne is smart and funny and unique, just how I like my heroines. And Simon is rakish and honorable and secretly sweet, just how I like my heroes. Simon's problems and tortured past makes him all that more endearing to me.

All in all a great story that I happily recommend.

(P.S. By now I've read a few more books in this series. Still love Julia Quinn and still love the Bridgerton family!)

When the end of a series? Re-Dark series by Christine Feehan

I've been a fan of Christine Feehan Dark series' beginning. When he came, there were around many paranormal novels. Dark Prince was my first and I liked it. I read and read again and again.

I'm not sure if the series was natural for me, or am I just do not like what I've dipped this heroine Kick-Ass, which seem to call. (I think it is the later). I know as a heroine who can hold their own, but it is getting ridiculous! To be honestThe truth that I have this series is not so much as enjoyed Dark Demon. Could not get through that book.

The last novel, Dark Slayer, as a complete role reversal. I'll be honest and say that I could not stop. So I'm not a complete review of the book. I could read more, I went back to re-book the other place. I take a new book to be read as a favorite to enjoy every day, something I enjoy. I tried brought meDays to get to Chapter 10, before I abandoned. Usually able to read Christine Feehan book in one sitting.

It has a few series and I enjoy going on now. I really enjoyed burning game was released earlier this year, the best book he wrote in a while. But then I do the Alpha, Alpha Male love.

How long should a series romance go? Twenty pounds and more. Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark Hunter feel Pounds, gothe same for me.

I'm just not what it once was. I feel like a TV show had a long period, I always thought they should be concluded on Stargate SG1 Season 6, after Full Circle.

Well, neither author has signs of resolution before being sold must beat. In fact, I was surprised to see how many rave reviews for Dark Slayer, I, since it can not finish the book, I then in the minority.

I downloaded this free on my Kindle and am so thankful I did. Wow, what a fabulous book! Character development cannot get much better than this. I am on the edge of my seat with this series. Love the interaction between Mac and Barrons. Chemistry, but not romance. Though you think just maybe ... someday ... something may happen. Who knows, but I am hooked! If you love action-packed, book with characters that have so many dimesions you may never think you'll figure them out, you have to read this series. It's one of my favorites now!

The book was the best I read for awhile. It is about the alpha trying to find his mate. His best friend had found his mate and she was shy. His friend was doing work for a two gales name Emma and Becky. So he goes with his friend to deliver the work and he see Emma and he knows that she is mate he pulls her to the side and she asked him to help get Becky and Simon together. He agrees and she also ask if Simon likes Becky. He said yes. They leave and when Emma and Becky close the shop. Emma leaves and starts to go to her car and she relized that someone was there and she kept on walk and Max said hello. He said would you like to go to dinner and she went with him and he trys to get her to tell him who hurt her. She did not answer and he keeps on asking. After dinner it get more interesting he marks her as his. He tells her and she said what do you mean. He explains that she is his and that she was his mate. Emma fights him and tells him that she belongs to no body. She goes home with him and you will have to read the book to find out the rest. It is a great book.

OK, I like a good story and so I'm reading this series (Beyond the Highland Mist, To Tame a Highland Warrior, The Highlander's Touch, Kiss of the Highlander, etc.). And, some of the books even feature highlanders though you get little of the highland way of life or the castle/keep ambiance. And, she does little in the way of character development for any but the main few characters. But this one seems to me to be primarily a fantasy/fae story that mostly takes place in the modern US (you don't even get to Scotland until nearly page 200). And the male lead, Adam Black, is not a Scottish highlander though he's assumed that disguise in his past 5000+ year life as a fae. And my other complaint about this "highlander" series is that the language is mostly modern even among the so called highlanders. But if you can accept all that and not be disappointed, it's a good story and she does well with the sexual tension and love making scenes. I read though her books pretty fast as there's not much substance there and after really meaty highlander and historical Scottish romances, I'm not sure this one is even a 4 star though...might be a 3 star plus.
